  1. Collecting data on your customers serves no real purpose unless it is used to take meaningful action.

Big data is big, and it’s only getting bigger and more complex. Companies are collecting customer information across channels, including text, voice call, online and chat. As customers find new ways to communicate with their companies of choice, the amount of data will continue to grow. Collecting that information is a great start, but the bigger question is whether companies are actually doing anything with it.

  2. We are proud to announce that one of the largest supermarket chains in the Netherlands, Albert Heijn, now uses Mopinion’s feedback software on their website (AH.nl). Albert Heijn – also referred to as the AH or ‘Appie’, as the Dutch like to call it – jump-started its online feedback programme in June of last year (2017). Since then, they have employed various feedback forms across their website with the aim to extract valuable insights into the online shopper journey.

  3. Customer-centric businesses put customers at the core of the business, then make policy and process design decisions centered on the needs of those customers. That customer focus compels naysayers to label customer centricity as an ill-advised business strategy.

What happens, those naysayers ask, when your heart pushes you to take action that interferes with a long and prosperous future?

  4. Your customer experience management (CEM) system is up and running. You are actively listening to your customers and have an impressive 20% survey response rate. You’re measuring NPS and CSAT, and real-time alerts are coming in. That’s great! All signs point to a successful Voice of Customer (VoC) program.

    But wait!

Do your customers know that you’re actually listening to them?

  5. Surveys are ubiquitous. Customers have grown accustomed to seeing survey links at the bottom of receipts and receiving survey invitations by email. The good news about the proliferation of surveys is that it shows more companies are taking customer experience (CX) seriously.

The bad news: customers are apt to experience “survey fatigue”—and less likely to respond to survey requests.

You can combat survey fatigue by designing smart surveys that capture meaningful CX feedback from your customers. Our list of five survey mistakes will help you avoid common pitfalls and grow your response rates.

  6. There’s a power shift happening in the customer journey, wherein audiences rather than brands are in control. Brands are operating in an environment where trust in corporations, advertising, and political leaders is diminishing rapidly. This puts customers in the driver’s seat—giving them power over which brands sink or swim. Getting to the truth has never mattered more—and customer experiences may be the solution.

  9. Customer feedback is information coming directly from customers about the satisfaction or dissatisfaction they feel with a product or a service. Customer comments and complaints given to a company are an important resource for improving and addressing the needs and wants of the customer. The information is procured through written or oral surveys, online forms, emails, letters, or phone calls from the customer to the company.
